The Wonderland Lisboa Christmas Market

It is one of the most beautiful and important Christmas markets in the city. Wonderland Lisboa returns this year with its Ferris wheel at Eduardo VII Park from December 1st.

Enjoy this dedicated space with free entrance to do your Christmas shopping in the open air and don't hesitate to come in groups! Indeed, Wonderland Lisboa offers a very snowy program. Christmas tree and Santa's house, ice rink and rides, it's much more than just a Christmas market.

The Christmas market in Alvalade

From December 3 to 12, 2021, the Alvalade Christmas Market will open its doors to immerse you in Portuguese craftsmanship. Stroll through the aisles of typical Christmas wooden huts in the large Avenida da Igreja (Church Avenue). On the program: Christmas animations, Santa Claus workshop and typical Portuguese gastronomy.

More than 40 creative craftsmen will be there to allow you to buy beautiful authentic Christmas gifts. You will find typical Portuguese jewelry as well as creations of Portuguese textile crafts.


Natalis, the Christmas fair in Lisbon

Natalis is a Christmas fair that gathers a large panel of exhibitors from all over Portugal. This fair offers the opportunity to discover typical Portuguese products and to buy handmade gifts. Tastings of local products are planned, manufacturers of "presépios", the small Portuguese santons, will be present.

There will be activities for both young and old and you can find unique handcrafted Christmas decorations complements. This fair will be held from November 24 to 28, 2021 and admission is free.


The Christmas Kingdom in Sintra

The favorite Christmas market of Lisbon is back this year in Sintra. With its "Mercado do Reino de Natal", Sintra offers its inhabitants and visitors a magical journey to the heart of Portuguese Christmas. From December 1 to 23, the city is transformed into a Christmas story.

Thus, you will be able to enjoy beautiful night walks in the middle of the Christmas illuminations with more than six hundred thousand lights. The Botanical Garden (Parque da Liberdade) will be the place to be for the little ones, while the large square in the city center (Largo Rainha Dona Amélia) will host Portuguese producers and craftsmen ready to offer their authentic Christmas gifts!


The Craft & Design Christmas Market in Estrela Garden

It is a Portuguese artisanal market that is held regularly in the garden of Estrela. For Christmas, the creators immerse you in the atmosphere of the end of year celebrations and allow you to offer a unique and original Christmas gift made on the spot. You will find all types of typical Portuguese handicrafts: costume jewelry, leather goods, azulejos and ceramic objects, as well as typical illustrations and photographs.
The special Christmas Craft & Design market will be held on December 4, 5, 18 and 19, 2021.

★ The most beautiful Christmas markets in Porto

This year, Porto reopens its doors to the magic of Christmas, with a little more modesty than Lisbon. The city will host two Christmas markets where visitors can discover typical Portuguese objects, Portuguese cuisine and other products from the Porto region.


The Christmas market of Porto, Praça da Batalha

From November 27, the Praça da Batalha will open its Christmas market. Between the illuminations, the Christmas songs and the smell of spices and hot chocolate, the exhibitors will offer you a magical atmosphere in an authentic Christmas.
Craftsmen and producers will present, in beautiful wooden huts, the national products of Portuguese crafts. While supporting the small traders, you will be able to offer nice Christmas gifts, such as dolls, wooden toys, filigree jewelry, hats and scarves made of Portuguese wool. But this market will also offer you the opportunity to taste many regional delicacies: honey, jams, cheeses, cold cuts, port, preserves and dried fruits.


The Christmas market of arts and crafts in Porto

The second Christmas market of Porto will be in Avenida D. Afonso Henriques from December 1st. It is the traditional arts and crafts market entirely dedicated to Portuguese crafts. Located near the São Bento train station, this market, organized by the Santa Clara Association, will be open until December 23. It will offer a variety of Portuguese products and crafts. Ceramics, wool, linen, wood, leather, traditional Portuguese toys and games, handmade soaps, cloth dolls and homemade liquors are some of the items that will be found on Santa's stalls
