Among the Portuguese popular traditions are the famous "Andorinhas", the ceramic swallows characteristic of the so-called Caldas da Rainha ceramics, whose most famous author is Bordallo Pinheiro. These swallows, from Portuguese folklore, are present in all the decoration.

This gift set recalls this tradition through an elegant ceramic bowl, entirely handmade, on which a black swallow and 2 traditional swallows, one green and the other black, are delicately placed.

Andorinha bowl

This cup finds its place at the table as a small serving plate, as an aperitif cup, as a vacuum pouch or simply as a beautiful decorative object. It comes from a small workshop located between Caldas da Rainha and Obidos in the centre-west of Portugal, in the province of Estremadura. Its design is characteristic of the so-called Caldas da Rainha ceramics, whose most famous author is Bordallo Pinheiro. It has an excellent quality and great care in its finishes.
