Small sardines in olive oil

The "petingas" are very small, very tender sardines, arranged perpendicularly in their cans, 6 in number (4 units for the usual sardines). They are simply prepared in olive oil to preserve their authenticity.

These small sardines are among my favourites. Very tender, fleshy and tasty, they have nothing to do with the sardine preserves usually found in department stores. You will never be disappointed by the quality of these sardines because the cannery only uses fresh sardines of great quality.
