Ceramic Sardines from Caldas da Rainha

Ceramic sardine which finds its place in the whole house and immediately reminds us of Portugal. It can be placed on a piece of furniture thanks to its flat belly but also fixed to the wall thanks to its ventral hole. It is also widely used at the table, as a decorative object or as a cutlery rest.

This piece comes from a traditional ceramic workshop located near Caldas da Rainha, in central Portugal, the ancestral cradle of Portuguese ceramics. All the pieces are entirely hand-made and painted by hand with methods and attention to detail that are rarely seen.
