Fantastic canned Portuguese sardines with escabeche that will make you forget all the ones you have tasted so far.
The sardines are preserved in sunflower oil and served with a sauce a l'escabeche. The escabeche sauce is a sauce from southern Europe made with oil and vinegar with laurel, parsley, garlic, chilli pepper and tomatoes.
The quality of this preserve is due to the use of real and authentic Atlantic sardines, the "Pilchardus" Sardines. It is also due to the traditional Portuguese preparation method by which the sardines are selected and prepared by hand, one by one, are steamed and then canned in their sauce.
