Very nice oil or vinegar decanter with a non-drip metal and cork pouring stopper. The design of this decanter is characteristic of Caldas da Rainha's ceramics, whose most famous author is Bordallo Pinheiro.

This piece comes from a small workshop located between Caldas da Rainha and Obidos in the centre-west of Portugal, in the province of Estremadura. It benefits from an excellent quality and great care in its finishing.

The moulds used there have been handed down from generation to generation and the owner of the workshop now uses his grandfather's moulds. All parts are made entirely by hand.

Très esthétique mais pas pratique

L'huilier est fidèle à la photo, très beau. Cependant son unique but qui est de verser l'huile n'est pas tout a fait atteint… L'huile se déverse et par le bec en inox, et par la bouche du poisson car le liège n'épouse pas la forme du goulot. Dommage car je pensais m'en servir tous les jours, mais il ne fait que gouter et salit tout sur son passage....
